Here are a few tips to give your business a bit more boost during downtime.

Some products are seasonal, and businesses suffer downtime during off-peak season. One good example is sunglasses, as they are tied with summer. If you are like sunglasses retailers experiencing downtime now, it's best to take some measures to boost your sales. There are still ways to keep customers coming to your store and purchasing your products, even if they are seasonal.

 This week, we will be giving you a few tips to help reduce downtime during your off season.

Keep your store exterior organized.

If your storefront looks cluttered and disorganized, potential customers will be immediately turned off. You should be able to catch their attention a few meters away with an organized exterior. Install programmable LED signs that can pique their interest; such as one that displays your current promos or simply one that shows your store hours.

Keep your interior clean as well.

Keep customers longer inside your store by serenading them with some background music. Make sure that it isn't too loud, as this can turn most customers off. The music genre should also fit the current theme of your store. Instrumentals never grow old, and they are the best bet for store music.

Keep your parking space clean.

Customers love it when there is ample parking space by your shop. More so if the area is clean and organized. Place plant boxes to beautify the area and make sure that garbage cans are in the right places. You can also opt to commission an artist to create a mural on the wall to keep people interested.

Get a scent diffuser.

Allow your customers to indulge in their senses! Turn on a scent diffuser and see the change it does in your and your staff's moods. If your store smells nice, customers will more likely stay inside for longer.

Attract customers with promotions.

Promotions never fail. Especially if you build anticipation by setting a countdown timer, either via a LED sign or an online timer on your website. These promotions can also help with brand awareness and exposure, so this strategy is highly recommended.
