Make your gaming room even more entertaining with these decorating tips.
People playing video games rose in 2020 because of stay-at-home measures; the number rose to over 2.5 billion this year. If you have a gaming room or play in your bedroom, you would want an ambiance that would make playing even more enjoyable.
Transform your space to make the play experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. Here are some decorating tips that will arouse the gamer in you:
Install a scrolling LED sign.
Programmable LED signs give off a retro gaming feel because of the pixels. And because they are bright, they double as room lighting as well. The light from these signs also matches the RGB lighting of most gaming keyboards and gaming mice. For video game vloggers, they can install a scrolling LED sign as part of their background and flash the name of the game they are currently playing. They could also program promotional messages to further engage their fans.
Add cool lighting.
Aside from a LED sign, try to add some more cool lighting. A simple string of fairy lights will do, and they give off an ethereal glow once all the other lights are off. LED strips can also light up your monitor's frame, the computer table, or even shelves in the room. You can also outline the ceiling using purple or blue strips to give a futuristic space feel to the room.
Get a sofa.
Gamers need to rest their eyes once in a while! So if you don’t have a sofa in your gaming room yet, it’s time you do. Get one that matches your room's current theme and make sure it's comfortable to lie on. Leather is a good material, but it tends to be cold to touch if the room temperature is cold. If this is a problem, a fabric sofa is a better option.
Get a mini refrigerator.
You have to stay hydrated. Gamers tend to get so immersed in their game that they forget to eat and drink. Get a small fridge in the gaming room, so you wouldn’t have to go to the kitchen. Just like the sofa, it’s best to get a bar refrigerator in the same color as the room’s color palette.
Install aesthetic soundproofing.
Most gamers have a surround sound system and love to turn the audio up to feel that they are actually in the game. Loud sounds may disturb neighbors, so it’s best to invest in some soundproofing. Acoustic foams come in various colors and designs, so you can pick ones that are of the same color as your theme. Aside from the walls, you can also consider installing these foams on the ceiling, especially if you live in an apartment and have people living upstairs.
