With stay-at-home measures in effect for many parts of the country for a year now, churches and other houses of worship have seen little to zero participation from their members. Thankfully with the trickling down of vaccination programs we may soon be returning to our normal lives sooner rather than later. Still, it can’t be denied that church attendance has gone drastically down.
What if we told you that digital displays, such as LED open signs, can help foster and bring back the sense of community in church congregations? Let us show you the ways in this article.

Outdoor signs help church members stay connected by providing messages of hope
The Center for Disease Control or CDC discourages large public gatherings to halt the spread of the virus, so a few places of worship have gone digital and moved their services online. While this eliminates in-person group worship, churches can find another way to reach their community through their signages. Those posted outdoors may be used to share messages that inspire especially at this point in time.
Signages in and around the church’s premises can help share information on health protocols
Beating the spread of COVID-19 is possible through community participation. With places of worship often used as a center for communities to gather, churches can help reinforce the importance of following health protocols. Whether indoors and outdoors, both traditional and digital displays may be tapped to spread awareness to the community.
Programmable LED signs like these two below can be used inside and outside of the worship place’s premises to point attendees in the right direction. It can also be used to welcome old and new members alike.

Schedule of worship services may be relayed on signages
With churches limiting to completely eliminating in-person gatherings at the moment, many have gone online and shifted their worship services to the digital realm. Many places of worship have utilized video conferencing or streaming to continue their practices. While social media and digital newsletters can be tapped to announce their schedules, physical announcements on digital LED displays should also be used to reach more members, especially those who are new to the neighborhood.
Church signs can announce vaccination drives and procedures
With vaccination drives in full swing, the church can again be used to disseminate information about them through their signages. Signages that tell of the different schedules and the steps needed to participate may be displayed on church lawns. Likewise, directional signages placed strategically near roads can help people and point them in the right direction.
