Encourage old and new customers to enjoy their cup of joe in your coffee place again.
Even with the pandemic, people's love for coffee has not changed. That is why coffee shops have resorted to offering deliveries and curbside pickups during lockdowns and physical distancing measures. But now that business operations are slowly returning back to normal due to vaccinations, more and more people are going back to enjoying their cups of coffee in their favorite cafes.
If you manage a cafe and have returned to operating just recently, you would need some strategies to boost sales and encourage people to drop by.
Here are five strategies that can make customers keep coming back to your coffee shop:
1. Utilize LED technology.
Let people know from a distance that you are back to serving the best coffee in town. Install a coffee storefront sign by the entrance to quickly capture the eye of pedestrians. You can also set up a scrolling LED sign inside that is visible outside and program the day's specials. As for the cafe's interior, you can use LED strips in warm white to illuminate shelves and the bar for ambient lighting. Cozy lighting makes people stay longer!
2. Provide free WiFi and make electric outlets available.
Don't make the mistake of not offering free WiFi in this digital age! Coffee shops are great places for reading, and some enjoy reading e-books online. Those who use laptops would also need outlets, as well as those customers who are studying and working. Doing so provides your customers a great experience, and they will turn into patrons in no time.
3. Maximize your social media channels.
And speaking of WiFi, don't forget to make a noise on social media! Announce that you are back from temporary closure and that you are back to offering the best coffee in town. Aside from posting photos of your menu, make sure to also post pictures of your clean and disinfected shop, your staff, and happy customers. You can also announce your latest promotions on these channels.
4. Provide comfortable seats and the perfect ambiance.
Aside from dining chairs, make sure to provide softer seats for those who wish to stay longer. Clean, comfy couches make it easy for your customers to relax and enjoy their cup of joe. Make sure to always disinfect them for safety. On the other hand, a perfect ambiance is also crucial, especially with your lighting. Lights should not be too bright nor too dim. You can place reading floor lamps near the couches and install spotlights in areas where ample lighting is needed.
5. Keep customers' minds at ease with regular disinfection.
Many people may have been vaccinated, but some may still be paranoid about getting the virus. Set your customers' minds at ease by sanitizing your coffee shop daily. Offer free hand sanitizers and free masks. Remind people about washing their hands via programmable LED signs. Of course, let them know about your cleanliness policies on social media, so people who have not dropped by the cafe yet would be encouraged to. Let them know that their safety is your priority!
